Heheh. Random Musings is actually the name of my blog. :)

When I first created mine I called it Random Musings and then a week later decided I would try to focus on photography and ended up changing it. It's a good name. :)

My job and my lifestyle allow me to see and experience a lot of things that the general population never will... A blog is a great way to share some of those experiences with people who are otherwise unable to get out into my world.

Am I succeeding in my goal? I don't get a ton of traffic, only about 20-30 hits per day (more if I just posted), but over the past 2 years nearly 1500 unique visitors have been to my blog at least once per month (26+ visits), and about 500 of them are reading my blog at least once a week... pretty impressive if you ask me.

I need to work on posting more often though, and I think most of my writing sucks, but other than that I'm happy with what I've got going:

I've started regularly photo-blogging a few months ago. I try to post a new photo each day and recently that's been happening.

There's a link from my main website to my blog, Justin Mullet Blog | A place of pictures

no big goal ... just a bunch of little goals:

* - keep family up to date with our life
* - have my own server space
* - display images as proofs for people (portrait work)
* - working the site itself is a hobby by itself, i'm always changing the theme, addind/subtracting stuff, etc
* - my own e-mail domain (no limit on file size)

Here is my blog site, my son put it together for me as a fathers day gift, now I have a place to show so photos and whatever. The photo he used for the header worked out really well, it is from a macro photo challenge shot of a marble, the shot kind of flopped but I think it works well in the header.

That looks like a nice way to create a photoblog. I am just using blogspot right now which is just okay for photos. ( //craigrtaylor.blogspot.com )

My goal is to get the word out about adopting pets from shelters and then making sure the pets are taken care of. I thought my way of figuring out if I was accomplishing that goal was to add a counter on my page to see how many people viewed my page, but I can't seem to find a good counter. I've gotten a few comments so far, so it seems that some people are stopping by, so I do feel that my word is slowly getting out. I'm going to keep doing it, because it doesn't cost me anything, and I learn new things while I research some of the things that I write about.
ETA: Petey and Pickles (my dogs) are pretty good motivators too! :)

My wife blogs -- I take most of the pictures for her (and occasionally make an appearance in a video or two), ;) but the content is hers.

She likes using it to display her altered art and discuss ideas with other artists, let friends and family know what we are up to, etc. She loves it and is hopelessly addicted.

I've thought about making a blog every once in a while, but the feeling usually passes in about 20 minutes. ;)

I use my blog for my portrait-a-week project this week (also used it for last year's macro-a-week).

I sometimes write for my agency's blog, like when I discussed an environmental angle to Hawaii.

But I don't have my own blog.

And I also have a silly blog:

LOL at your silly blog, I also had a folding comb/brush. I thought it was sooo cool!

I started a blog to try and raise awareness about adopting shelter dogs.
Here is, my blog.
I want to start a different one, but most of the time I feel like I'm just typing for myself, doesn't seem like anyone, but my family/friends reads the other one.

I just recently finished building my blog site. It's not necessarily a photography blog but more of just my thoughts in general.

dpatterson.net blog

Anyways I hope you enjoy.

OK, I've started a few, but always lost interest after a few posts.

My question is why blog? I mean, what is it that you have to say that's important enough to put out there for all to read? I've read some that range from "Way too much information" blogs like "Hey, I just posted the video of my annual colonoscopy." to the "Look at me!" blogs with posts that areeally just cries for attention.
