If they are suspect in your opinion, I'd suggest following the voting guidelines: vote as if they are valid - and submit a validation request.

OK, got my eye pic submitted... well unless I change it before the deadline. :)

Maybe I missed it in this thread or elsewhere. Has there been an eye challenge before? Or something like it? I need some inspiration.

I'm intrigued, by the way, that this is basic editing. Eyes get a lot of post-processing attention, so it'll be interesting to see the entries!

I was just wondering about the rules in basic editing...What exactly am I allowed to do in Adobe RAW before I open my photo in Photoshop? Like can I change the hue of each color seperately, because I am technically still doing it to the whole photo. Thanks in Advance because I am really looking forward to this challenge...and not being DQ'ed from it!!!

Being my first one!!! YAY

Hi Jason,

If I understand correctly, then you can change the hue and saturation of a particular range of colours as long as the change is applied to the whole photo - e.g you could desaturate "cyans" in the photo to make a sky more monochrome, but you if you had something else cyan in the photo you wanted preserved then you couldn't exclude it from the change (this being equivalent to a mask). It doesn't matter whether you do this is RAW conversion or later in photoshop with a maskless colour adjustment layer.

Hope that helps and *good luck* in your first challenge.

Now don't do that, because I'm SUPER competitive and I really want to do the eye challenge. Seriously though I did wake up with an eye irritation and it's my eyes I want to use. I think I'll be good to go by the weekend. :)

I am not afraid of you... you know where to find me if you change your mind... or your eye drops LOL
