Agreed...Since I needed something to shoot balance beam and such, I had to go this route for clarity and crispness. Soft focus photos in gymnastics suck!

Oh, This is the lens I want...My husband just bought me the Sigma 20-40, 2.8 though I STILL REALLY Want this lens.

Enjoy your new toy.

Ok so I returned the Sigma today as most of the photos I shot with it were too soft. If my subject was moving very much It was as though the lens would not keep up with my camera. My husband was gracious enough to allow me to upgrade to the 17-55 2.8 (no test imaages though)
zbill1 Do you have anything to show yet?

D300? Don't I want one, but that has to be future target unfortunately:-)

It's heavy. Make sure you have a nice comfy strap out in the field.

Tip #2: Its a piece of crap...send it to me and I will gladly recycle it for you.

Seriously, its a great chunk of glass and I want one for myself. Shoot, shoot, shoot, then shoot some more.

Tip #1: Hold on tight to it if I'm in the vicinity.

I finally broke down and got myself the lens. It really costs. Any tip on how to utilize it the best will be highly appreciated. Thanks
