Margaret Bourke-White.

I love her early large scale industrial images as well as her powerful Holocaust photojournalism.

One of my recent favorites is David Lachapelle. His photos are so off-beat and colorful, but as a warning to those who don't care to see it, his site does contain some nudity.

Looking at Kieth Carter's link above posted by Gordon is a bit inspiring, another "off the beaten trail" technique. I like it quite a bit. Thanks for posting it! :-)

My favourites would land somewhere around Robert Mapplethorpe's pornographic flower pictures //www.mapplethorpe.org/ and Keith Carter's flights of whimsy

//keithcarterphotographs.com/

Neither would go down well around here, I suspect and would be firmly in the 3s

i'm not sure who posted it first, but i'm pretty sure i got this link from these very forums sometime in early winter:
//www.yannarthusbertrand.org
//www.yannarthusbertrand2.org

both are good (and obviously by the same person), but i think the second might have slightly more content.

i think this guy is a genius. Was fortunate enough to stumble across his gallery in San Fran in December.

I haven't studied all that much, but as of right now, my favorite would have to be Diane Arbus.

I went to an Arbus gallery at the Getty, which also featured Winogrand, and someone else. It was based on the three photographer's photographs from the seventies. I very much enjoyed both Arbus, who I went to see, as well as Winogrand, but didn't like the third guy very much, which is why I can't remember his name. :)

haha, the zoo one is hilarious, this guy is pretty good with the lighting too. Very casual style, yet professional.

i would have to say my favorite photographer (of the famous photographers i'm even aware of) is garry winogrand. i'll link a few of my favorite shots he's taken: photo 1 photo 2 photo 3 photo 4 <----(unexplainably funny.. guy had a great sense of humor) photo 5

he is my hero.

anyway, take a look at them, fall in love with the man's style, do whatever you want :) i'd like some quick links to some of your favorite photographs as well ;)
