I agree... I skipped the upgrade to the 20D and waited for the 30D.

NO way is the 20 better than the 30. We love our 30's!

Yeah, I heard that as well. On the DPC forums I think it was.

Question is . . with Canon considering bringing the cycle time down from 18 months to 12 (apparently) is it worth going from the 20 to the 40, or taking a cheaper step, going to the 30 then waiting for the 50 (or whatever) ?

Huh? On what basis? I own both and prefer the 30D over the 20D.

Ive heard that the 20D is still a better camera than the 30D.
