Nice play on words! for Candid challenge

I laughed when I read the first DPC comment I ever got: "oh god". I'm sure it was a typical reaction to the subject I used!

"Very Matrix-like. Neat idea and editing. The subject's shirt could have had more detail in the darks. Love the veins on his face."

"Looks very grainy. Also I'm not sure b&w was the best choice for this pic"

I got the best comment ever, it was from neenee1999 and was like this:

Great shot!! Love the subject matter...great approach and attention to detail..I love it!! Good job

Here is the shot:

My first comment on January 13th 2003 was from Natasha and said:

"I love the hay and colour of the fields. Not sure that I really like the trees in the foreground."

the first comment was
"this is great, i love it... actually, i had the same idea and even took some pictures, but then decided to go with something completely different... anyway, your picture is much better than what i had... wonderful colors... 8."
for my submission

this was really exciting. I had bought my first digital camera and entered the challenge the next day. I took only one shot for this challenge before being questioned by a police officer what was I doing taking picture of a petrol pump price chart ?

The first challenge I entered was 'rusted' - my first comment, "Extra credit for Socio-economic commentary."

Good picture. A bit unlucky with the lamp post in the background. (7)

My very first challenge was "Where's Waldo?" and to be honest, my entry sucked. My very first comment was made by Tiff, who hasnt been active in along time
Its a cute picture but your subject is not really hidden

My first comment was from "fire red mustang" for my "Smoothie" entry in the Centered challenge:

"Pretty Colors... 10."

It's gone pretty much downhill from there. ;-)

hahahaha.. Not the most auspicious start, but it's definitely improved from there!

I work with _wu_ - want me to give him a poke in the eye from you? ;)

LOL..

naahh.. he was basically right about it being a snapshot.. although he could have elaborated a *little* ;)

jdincolsprings : I like this picture, but is more a picture of a splash than of a reflection...

which was of course fully correct, it was just a coincidence I had this picture taken, not specific for the challenge, and thought I might as well enter to get some comments. And I think the picture is flawed, some bad reflections in there which should have been avoided. It still got 9th place though...

My very first comment:

"cool, im interested how you got the pencil to stand up straight! :-)
great lighting and use of focus to create depth!" (nico_blue)

Thanks Nick :)

I still like that pic even though it's lacking a massive 'something'

My first challenge was waiting and the first comment was :
Dodging and Burning is a no no on open challenges...
This was from jmlelii, i then had a request to validate which was approved.
Not a good start.
