Before we get too far into this, I just want to remind everyone that this is a week-old thread.

Exactly! Only the polite deserve not to be tasered, everyone knows that.

And mocking the police - he was just asking for trouble there. Is he crazy? Everybody I know agrees that when the Police are involved, the only thing to do is give them your ID papers, your religious affiliation materials, your Party credentials, and then you keep your eyes averted downwards until you are excused. The Police must be respected and obeyed at all times - they protect the Homeland.

Thank [various deities] we can now happily say that we live in a country where people can be legally whisked out of the room and then tasered into unconsciousness for asking politically uncomfortable questions in a somewhat raised voice.

Heck, the student should be thankful that he wasn't considered too politically subversive and just plain disappeared as an enemy combatant.

After all, since habeas corpus no longer has any real meaning, why should anybody give a rat's ass about 1st Amendment rights? To say nothing of police cruelty and harassment - such passe considerations - so last century!

"I made the decision to supersede the rules, and for that I apologize," Meyer wrote. "I should have acted calmer and obeyed the directives of the officers. If I had, none of the subsequent issues would ever have arisen."

Police are hunting a gunman after two students were shot at Delaware State University in the US

I've just had a really good idea. Instead of tasering students for asking the wrong questions at debates or forgetting to bring their ID card, why don't the campus police try tasering people they see carrying guns around?

Hmmm, maybe they only use the taser on young uns. If you're in your 70's and refuse to show your ID, the cops just beat you up.

For all you Taser fans, here's another student getting tased, not once but at least 5 times! This time in the library at UCLA for the crime of not showing his ID card.

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyvrqcxNIFs

My fav student quote is at 00:49 after his first blast of the taser; "Here's your Patriot Act! Here's your ****ing abuse of power!"

Looks like student-tasering is turning into quite a sport in the US.

He'll probably have his own tv show in a few months.

I agree, and we'll be reading about his lawsuit soon enough. Just another dumb kid thinking he will get his 15 minutes of fame.

But those videos were great entertainment... loved listening to him whine and cry!

Damn, in the good old days he would have been kicked in the groin then cuffed. I'd take the tazzer.

Don't forget the immediate anti-police/anti-establishment buzz that these youtube videos will incite and the subsequent public-appeasing multi-zillion dollar settlement the kid is going to get.

The taser is for subduing uncooperative people. This guy was tasered while already on the ground and subdued, in a submissive position saying, "Don't tase me.". The cops decided to mete out a little street justice and tasered him anyway. The cops were totally out of line.

I thought torture for disagreeing with the party line was the forte of the Republicans...

Thanks. It's all in the spin.

Here's another video on YouTube which show him being led outside, still asking what he did wrong. Finally one of the campus police tells him... "You're under arrest for inciting a riot"

Timestamp 2:30 //www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NWukZhsiBw

Although from the amount of videos and stills this incident is generating it appears most of the students were more interested in getting their footage on the net than having a riot.

Students these days just have no idea how to have a *proper* riot.

Still can't see it but I'm guessing that's why he screams like a little girl hahaha. Dumbshit.
