If interested I uploaded some larger files so they view better. However, I must let you know that there are no ART style shots so it is likley to be a boring viewing. What was he smoking? And he didn't share!

Yes, Clarice. I do wish we could chat longer, but I'm having an old friend for dinner

I eat Freuds for lunch with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

...wait, Freuds are those spicy polish sausages, right?

That is too funny Ken... I am not certain about this, but I had heard something about a UFO and body snatching from the theatre... but I could be mistaken.

I only made Saturday's event, but had a great time and was happy to meet those that I did! Couldn't believe our luck running into this at the Paramount:

Must've followed us from the Mall earlier that morning...

Some welcomed us:

Some did not...

And ultimately, we were lucky to get out alive!

HAHA. Enjoy. More of some of the 300+ pics I took are here...

Looking forward to the next one!

We had a great time Ursula, and I am ever so glad I made the trek from Ottawa to meet these wonderful people.

Should they decide to have another in the spring, I would definitely consider returning... great bunch.

Ray

If there's one in the Spring, I'll try to be there too. :)

Wish I could have stuck around and gotten to know you all a little better and sure would of liked to have made the zoo today, but there is always next time!

BTW - do not attempt to run the slideshow on this smugmug page as I only uploaded small 640 pixel files, sorry.

Of course, if it's a clear day, you can always go up to Kerry Park in the Queen Anne neighborhood. That's where these were shot:

.

For twilight shots, it's best to get there 30 minutes or more before sunset and stay 60 minutes after sunset.

I travel to Seattle regularly (my company's HQ is in the area), so whenever you guys decide on future dates, there could be a chance I could attend.

It was fun meeting my fellow Pacific Northwest DPCers yesterday and shooting the theatre. Here are a couple of shots I liked. More in my portfolio.

Sorry I couln't make it, sounded like a great time. I've been fighting cancer lately and just don't have the energy. My son went to the car show on Thursday with my super wide Sigma on his D40 and came up with this; 2007 Car Show
I shot at Benaroya Hall on Friday night for a benifit concert and he also posted some of those on his site; Concert

Hopefully I will feel better for the niext GTG.

Ray and I are about to brave the weather and head for Woodland Park Zoo.
Michael said he'll be there, too.

We're hoping that it will clear, and in the meantime we can sit around in some food place and chat, right?

Hopefully a few others will join us. See you there!

Oh, don't get me wrong. I had a fine time. I just would have liked to stick around and socialize for a wee bit longer. :)

I like your skyline photo, but I have the same problem with focusing distances like that. There's got to be a trick to it. :)
11/04/2007 12:13:07 AM · #21
I don't know why my images are not coming out very sharp....I took this photo of the Seattle skyline and was freaking stunned by the image on the LCD only to get home and ask myself, why the hell is everything slightly blurry?

Jennifer, so sorry to hear you didn't have a good time. I know that would have been horrible on a young child. Heck, architecture tours can be horrible on adults!

Woo! Nothing like 4 hours of driving for about an hour and half of GTG. :) Another classic "What was Jen thinking??" moment. Next time little man will be staying home with daddy. And now you tell me you're going to the zoo..... ;-)

But it was fun nonetheless, although I wish I would've gotten to meet more of you guys. But that was my bad. :)

I only have a few photos, mostly of the juggler as that was one thing that caught lil' mans attention for more than a second. and a couple from OUTSIDE the Paramount. Mason and I saw a lot of that. :)

Thanks again Michael ( Agaricus) for organzing. Hoping to spend more time shooting and chatting next time. :)

And Art Roflmao, Mason will be planning his lil' woody shoot shortly. I think he's named him Ted. Thank you! :)

Have fun tomorrow guys!

K...I will push the idea of Leavenworth with the others if I can. Even if the colors are not out, it is still a beautiful area. Weather is suppose to be mixed on this side of the mountains, but partly to mostly sunny on the eastern side....

I will keep you posted as to what we do...maybe we could all just go to Snoqualmie Falls? That would be even more on your way home...

Michael, my wife and I have to drive back to the east side of the state tomorrow after we get done shooting so a trip to Mt. Vernon or any further north I think will rule us out. I think Levenworth is actually on our way back home so if it was we'd definitely have to go on that. I'd like some nature shots but I don't know if the fall colors are out much anymore...

P.S. thanks for the comments on the photos. I uploaded a less oversharpened shot of the Paramount since I really overdid the first one I posted. The new (less sharp) photo is a little better.
