I second that...

Here's some "food" for thought...I used have fast food pretty regularly, 3 or 4 times a week. All with the "I just too busy to go home and make something" excuse. Then about three months ago, I injured my back and have been pretty laid up. My fast fooding has dwindled to about once a month...and I've lost 17-lbs without doing anything else but cutting out the fast food!

I watched "Super Size Me"...was grossed out with the rest of the nation, but did nothing. But now, my new found, lighter self, has a whole new attitude!

I can vouch from that site that the KFC famous bowl was NOT what it claims to be. BLECH.

I've got a plan for tomorrow. Going to set up my ghetto studio inside on one of their tables unless they kick me out.. in which case I'll do it in the shade from the building, since sunlight would mess it up. It's one of the few foods that actually looks like what you see on the ads, and quite fast.

I was afraid of that... this is why I am curious how others are planning on handling this situation. Or maybe nobody is - thus the few submissions.

49 1/2 hours till rollover and only 9 submissions for Fast Food.

I'm thinking, once I buy the food, I have to shoot right away or else it will shrivel and look gross (or grosser). So the game plan has to be in place...

How is everyone else setting this up?

It also says that the photograph should be usable in an advertising campaign. Decent food doesn't really have advertising campaigns because it doesn't have an industrial budget. Of course, I say all this assuming that fast food = junk food. You can usually make a salad as fast as you can buy a hamburger, but I suspect voters will go fish-eyed at the thought...

why some fast food have good business:

#1: pleasing service

#2: missing home

#3: good advertisement

My kids used to beg for fast food too.

I asked my little ones if they'd eat poop. Of course, they said "No!"

Then I let them know that there's poop in the meat at fast food places.

Problem solved.

In a small town somewhere in Canada, there are two food establishments right next door to eachother. One is a health food store, the other a burger joint. The health food store's business wasn't doing so well, so they put up a large banner that read "Eat here and live a longer life!".

The burger joint's reply; a banner of their own that read "Eat here and die happy!".

very small amounts, but i do enjoy a little wendy's or mcdonalds, and especially arby's. The Trans Fats and crazy sodium are the reasons I don't really have them too often anymore.

My friends and I used to make up disgusting names for fast food places too.

Some examples:

McDonald's = McDunghole's
Taco Bell = Crotch O'Smell
Kentucky Fried Chicken = Kentucky F&^cked Crotch Rot

and so on

I'm glad there are a lot of fast food places.

I hate the food, but when driving on the highway, they are good palces to stop and pee

Thanks to KaDi and RKT for their lists.

To repeat my earlier question, what's everyone's view as to whether Starbucks, Nero, Costa etc (plus small local coffee shops) would be voted down as DNMC? You can get food there, and it's fast.

Probably 60% of my diet is fast food. One of my criteria for choosing a house to buy was that there be sufficient fast food places on my way home from work.

It seems many people here equate fast food with McDonald's but I rarely eat there; there are many better fast food places. You can even get Italian from a drive through at Fazoli's.

I love fast food straight from the microwave.

2 boca burgers
2 buns
fat free kraft cheddar

nuke burgers 1.5 minutes add cheese and a light salad dressing of choice. really fast food and around 400 calories.

I eat fast food. I admit it.
About 1% of anyone I ask says they eat fast food.

McDonalds serves something like 40% of all breakfasts eaten outside the home in the US.

Someone is lying.

- as to food styling - "the food" must be real, the 'props' can be fake. So a milk ad must show real milk, The hamburger may not be real. in a cereal as, the cereal is real, milk may not be.

Just to add to Kadi's list:

Cheesesteaks
Falafel
Samosa...we have an Indian place here that's super fast and delicious.

Franchises I can add:

Dunkin Donuts
Krispy Kreme
White Castle
Krystal
Hardees and their dumb commercials
Jack in the Box
What-a-burger
Taco Bell/Bueno
Chick-fil-a
Sonic...any other drive in would work as well.

...um...yeah...I like fast food and ain't to cool to admit it. : }

That's because they use the real product in all the ads.
