I love this idea. I was out the other day taking street shots and saw this opportunity. I didn't know I would have a reason to post it here. Thought I'd have to keep it to myself. Anyway, here was an attempt at Bourgois...

Yes, and we better start it quick because it's already August 1 in some parts of the world.

Most DPC-related events are coordinated with DPC-server time.

In any event, expect the OP will start the new thread when ready ...

Well, I'll be crazy busy and out of state tommorrow so here is my day 1. I'd rather be ahead than behind.

I've always wanted to do some shots like this. I'm glad this thread started. I'm just a little late finding it. Here is my first try.

No, I think you should play the Bass.

that's the fish, obviously, rather than the musical instrument category.

How did you know I played bass? Striped freshwater is my specialty.

...but doesn't the Bass player always blow up?

Count me in, it'll be a challenge.

No USM, what's left?
Techniques using, Light, Color, Desaturation, Motion, Composition, Image Grain, Patterns, the Subject-theme, and just random chaos and madness.

And then there is, just random chaos and madness.

Rennaisance, Modern Art, Van Goh and Monet will never make it!
I'll just take my glasses off, and see the Light.

Let anarchy reign.

What if anyone contributing photos can bring a photo to the selection committee thread? Maybe simply saying why they thought a photo worked particularly well. Then Ed's Esoteric Elitist Eschewers can discuss if they want, as well as bring light to entries they want to discuss. This way it includes more opportunities to see what people enjoy. just a thought.
Joe

this could be a very useful permutation of the original idea.

thanks for the pm, lesley. i'd be honoured...

I'm looking forward to joining in, and think the discussion thread is a great complement to the main posting thread. Don't know if I'll make the full 30 days, but I'll give it a go. :)

Here's another example, seriously. :)

E301 and the nine other guys Committee

Now, that's elitist.

...and Les, how dare you suggest that my Acid Cat was an accident. Given my notorious reputation as a pathological liar and a cheat, I'm still very insulted.

100% real, babe.....yeah that's the ticket ;P
