Is it the one in Pittsburg, Kansas? That is the Mpix lab I get all my stuff sent to me from.

Ok so I upsized last night in 10% steps from 100 dpi to 300 dpi and it looks pretty good. I am going to use DPCPrints and upsize again tonight to somewhere around 175-200, load and print. Thanks everybody for all your suggestions.

Thanks GeneralE, mohhomad, and ryand! I will see what I end up with when I get home and crop the picture. The customer might not even want 20x30" but I thought I would look into all possibilities.

Thanks again,

yes, certainly, 20x30s are absolutely stunning from Mpix (at about 170 dpi), and they arent ridiculously expensive. I cant vouch for 115dpi, but i can vouch for mpix

I'd sat it's almost a toss-up whether to upsample yourself from 115 to 150, or to let the print equipment do it -- I'm guessing that when displayed and viewed as a "poster" the difference will be imperceptible. With the former, you can re-sharpen after upsampling; with PS CS that should all take a couple of minutes or so.

Not a toss up at all, in our shop we found that the RIP we purchased does a much better job than photoshop at upscaling for printing. From 115 to 150 probably wouldn't show the difference that much but you should still see better quality using the printers RIP.

You need to be at a minimum of 150 DPI at final print size if you want to put the image up for public sale at DPC Prints, but there is no restriction if you are ordering it yourself -- just don't request approval.

I have printed a lot of stuff on Mpix, just not that big. Can anyone vouch for Mpix at poster sizes?

need to print out 2 posters (not necessarily of same image though). $9.95 each at Elco Color Labs. I've had a few printed there and they look great!

I only need one, but would like good quality—preferably somewhere that I could upload a full sized image and not hassle with upsizing myself. 16x20, 16x24, 20x24, 20x30. What do you think? Mpix, BayPhoto, DPCPrints, others?
Thanks, -drew
