OMG! wow that's insane, and a little well... all I can say is WHY??!

However yeah its called "dolls eyes" maybe try and find a photoshop tutorial and as for how she gets those girls to look like barbie I'm guessing it's just softening of their entire FACE.

GOOD LUCK

OMG!!! Apparently, when Toni Overby sends out her proofs, they're not retouched yet. Guess what? They're beautiful pictures! She is apparently a really good photographer. I asked my co-worker and she said that the pictures unretouched would simply not win in a "glamour pageant."

I told my co-worker it is my opinion (not always humble) that you should do any retouching you're going to do before you send out proofs, so the customer can see what it is they'll be getting.

They're the poor unfortunate children that immature women who never grew out of playing with dolls have.

How do I get a cracked copy of Neat Image.

My co-worker was talking today. $350 to sit with Toni Overby, and then another $200 for ONE 8x10!!!! That's $550 to make her beautiful daughter look like a rubber doll!!!! My boss said, "You really need to get into pageant photography! Those people just don't have any sense!"

She thinks my attempt at rubber doll photography still looks more natural than Overby.

I was actually thinking of revisiting that shot :)

I have nothing to do now that the husband is gone so the bedroom will be converted (to a studio) in a short time :) LOL

For some reason, I suddenly don't feel very good...

Original:
sorry this is in B&W but, you get the idea...

Edited:

If you like the skin, etc... I suggest you invest in Portrait Professional... around 40 bucks I believe... I do suggest using porcelain doll eyes though... that would make it easier...

If I over processed this...You all would tell me...Right? :)

ED: Sorry

This is one using a tutorial from Retouch Pro and Pimp Those Eyes:

Miss Michele Original Miss Michele

The one thing I notice about the rubber doll look is that there is no variation in skin tones, making me think they use paint, and it's mostly the same of the eyes. Though, I do like Brad's modeling tutorial. I'll have to try that on one of my girls. Unfortunately, neither of them have blue eyes.

My son's big complaint about the "glammed up" Miss Michele is that you can no longer see her "adorable freckles." Of course his initial reaction was, "But she was already perfect." Can we all say, "Awwwwww!"

Now, all of these will show you SOMETHING... it is up to you how far you take it :)

I go to all of them, but none of them will quite teach me the rubber doll technique.

Like I said, you will just have to take them a step further... what they will teach you is the functions you will have to use to get the result you want.

you need a hacked copy of neatimage to get the true to life results. the un-hacked version has an alogorithm embedded to prevent this sort of thing ;}

<==== His mom told him, if you don't have nothin' good to say... :-)

One positive thing to say is that yup, you're getting really close to Toni's work.

I'm still hard at work trying to perfect this technique. My boyfriend saw me working on these and said, "That's not nice! Why are you doing that to their pictures?"

Fake Michele

Fake Em

Fake Em 2

I actually kind of like the first Fake Em because that's her actual eye color with just some lights painted in.

That is funny. Sounds like she is as crazy as those eyes she puts on the children.
