Woohoo *as I puff my morning cigarette trying not to ash in my coffee* |
Another one ? |
It took me three months to understand that "Coffee shop" and "Coffee and cigarettes" are two quite different approaches to life, love, Universe, void, Jim Jarmusch, and everything else in between. I think it will take me three more months to come up with a lucid, cogitable explanation. Maybe more... |

If by dpc as a coffeeshop you mean that it is full of pretentious a-holes who think they're better than everyone else then it definitely compares to a coffee shop!
Now off to read the thread. :D |
What a pretentious comment! ;)

I'd never seen this thread before - very cool... should indeed be required reading. Again, Brad - Cheers!
Mmmmm, coffee (*imagining that first smell - right before the sip*). |

Roger,
I have only been here a couple of years. I have looked at many sites and this is the only one I really feel like I am with friends.
By the way Roger, I will be adding a few images I just took of a Catholic Church in Cincinnati that was just Awsome! I am going thru alot of pictures I took last week end. Was on a trip there. |

I don't say much around here, but I appreciate a lot. I appreciate the old timers who've stuck around to make this such a great learning environment. I appreciate how easy it is to express your feelings and ideas (when you are so inclined). I appreciate the high regard for good photographs and the tremendous tolerance for bad. I appreciate that humor which sometimes cuts to the quick and then turns around and salves any wounds. I appreciate the help I get when I ask for it. I appreciate that I am welcome here any time I want to show my face (or someone else's) and that you keep letting me back in the door. I appreciate that you don't laugh in my face. I think I'll keep coming back. The coffee is cheap enough.

weeeeeeeeeeee...coffee, coffee, coffee....(boing, boing - Kat bounces off the walls). Way to go Brad, nice thoughts and well said....way to go Brad, way to go Brad, way to go Brad.....
My pictures have been out of focus lately, maybe I should go out and shoot now. How 'bout now? NOw? Coffe, coffee, coffee.
The friends I've made on this site and the warmth and friendship so often extended is usually much better than those "real" humans I encounter daily. Thanks to all of you for making this such a welcome place to be! |

About my feelings,
I just took a trip to Ohio to see some family members. I have not been there for all most 50 years. While taking pictures of the city, all I could think of is which shots will I put on DPC. I may not get involved in treads much or produce top ten images, but I do occasionally enter images. I feel that DPC is like a group of friends, I feel very comfortable on this site. This is just like a local Coffee shop I used to hang out in my younger years when I lived in a small city in California.

Love your post Brad, will give it a 10. (at least I'm voting on something today)
Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, but the past wasn't as great as we remember, and the present isn't as bad as we think. |

Damn I read that as DPC as a coffee cup and thought it must be stained and dirty...
Damn onions. My eyes are burning.

Well, dang. I must have walked by this place a dozen times, and never knew it was there.
And, yep, I see you have steaming hot chocolate just the way I like it. I see that the Brad-guru is here and lots of the regulars.
Like the way you talk, Brad; think I'll settle down and sit a while.
P.S. Shoo, Strikeslip, put that gun down, you're being noisy again. Have some nice cider instead.

Can I get my mocha iced, please? It's getting to be summer here in Germany and just a wee bit warmish. Thanks! |

Oldie? Curls up into a ball and depressingly sighs. |
