Well uploaded my shot, wasn't the one I wanted, I got to the place to take the ones I wanted but not one of the dumb things came out ;( But I like the one I did upload, it's classic Halloween to me.

Just a little inspiration for anyone who might need it. Wish I could use this photo and touch up a small area of overexposure but it was taken last December in Columbia, SC. If anyone can tell me the name of the cemetary I would greatly appreciate it. I know it was close the univerity and the stadium on a hilltop.

Hey, Anna, that's a good picture! I like it.

Thanks Ursula, I even took it with the old fuji camera =o)

Well, now, see, that goes to prove that it's the photographer, not the camera :)

Looking at the photo I wonder if I should go back to that camera...lol I didn't have to think to use it...was just one of those point and shoot babies.

Heh, its gotten so cold I don't think we'll have anyone even come by. Its supposed to be around 32 degrees by 9pm in Portland.

We've had about an hour or so of dark already and not a peep.

The upside of course... more candy for me!

;)

Don't complain about the time our trick or treat here was last night. So much for the costumes from me.

I 2nd that, I'm going out tonight and wanted to take pics of people in costume and I won't be back early enough to enter because of the 11 PM time limit here.

Hehehe, I have to wait for dark to shot mine! I know what I want, just hope I can make it work!

And if it does, I WILL NOT NEED MUCH EDITING! :)

Last year's card. Lacking in technique, but not sentiment!

I already did some Halloween Portraits for my niece. Too bad those were taken almost 2 weeks ago. The unlimited editing would've worked to my advantage too because those are heavily "fixed" with PS.

Good luck everyone - Bob

Those are some great portraits. He is a cutie!

Now I will have to come home early from trick or treating to get my shot in : )

Because....

...wait for it...

It's a challenge! Entering an old photo is totally against the point of a speed challenge. Also, you dont have to manipulate it at all, just the option is there if you wish.
10/31/2003 08:45:18 AM · #20
so the new Halloween speed challenge means

1) I can manipulate the image
2) I have to take it today, manipulate it today, and post it by today?

Doesn't anyone here have a job... children... a life...

I can see requiring it to be posted in one day, but in that case, why not let us just quickly "play with" an older image and make it for today. In other words, why a new image, as long as we do the editing specifically for the challenge!
10/31/2003 08:28:22 AM · #21
I've updated the Halloween challenge so that the editing rules are no longer in effect.
