Up and down is fine, mine rarely goes up but in the last three days or so, every time I check, I discover I lost some points. I'm waiting for the dead end for voting before I sink. But this challenge indeed have some very nice shots. I hope they are not going down. No matter how much I'd like to win one day,I still want to see that best pictures are winners. Otherwise, if it was a matter of chance only, it won't be worthed fighting for.

I happened to me as well, dropping 0.4 after having received already 220 votes. If I make the match using number of votes and average score I must have received a few 1's. And I have seen it in previous challenges as well.

But often, the final score jumps up again as well, maybe this time again ? I have also seen other people commenting that this happens to them.

It is my impression that the last few days attracts a lot of low votes, which maybe get weeded out in the final tally.

So, you can still have hope.....

Hah, at least you guys had some decent scores....Mines been up and down like a freakin' roller-coaster. This one has been the WORST for going all over the place. I'm really hopin' for the midnight leap to betterness tonight!

The exact same thing has happened to mine. Really steady, then sunk like a sunset in the last couple days. I hope that it does shoot up in the end talley... this was my best ever, too.

do they jump due to weeding out dodgy votes?

PS I would like to thank all who commented on my shot so far. To me it is the probably close to the best shot I have taken so far and the +ve feedback has made this challenge all the more worthwhile regardless of where i finish. Thanx again all.
I wish I could comment more but I do this from work on my lunch break...makes it a bit hard to find time?

Ah, I understand now :-) Scores usually (in my experience) jump up a little at the final count - so have faith Brendon :-)

so u checked my profile and saw the score for my first entry and thought it was higher than that right?
I said it was my best since my first entry which is therefore not neccessarily higher.
My point is to drop 0.4 in a matter of votes after already recieving 200+ is a battering in my books. I was getting really excited too. A top 10% would be grouse tho! Hard to tell with many great entry's out of 333. WOW what a challenge to return on.

You're complaining about 6.995? It's a good chance of a ribbon in an Open challenge ... unless you're complaining about 7.995, of course ...

Ive been away for some time and this is my best score since my first entry which was my highest. It should have been a nice round hole number, well thats what i was aiming for (x).3 from beginning. Now it has dropped significantly (x-1).995. Bugger, it would have been a nice psyh barrier for me.
Has anyone else been hammered in the dying moments on the "all alone challenge" or is it just my bad luck?
