As someone willing to wear a purple sequined fabric around her head, I'm not sure the fashionista stakes were ever in the cards for me.

MK, I didn't get a PM, not that I recall anyways, but as you know, I'm a touch senile.

The glass beadlike things I originally bought to create greetings cards with which was wildly optimistic veering on unrealistic since I've never actually gotten around to making cards at home yet!!!

Oh dear, Kavey, yes! I got your lovely package. I'm fairly sure I sent a PM but perhaps it didn't get through. But thank you thank you! I will need to plan something special for it (housemate said wearing it around my head was a no go).

Also, special thanks to MattO for keeping me crafty, Jutilda for making my house smell good and Art Roflmao for sending supplies to aid me in my overthrow of the world.

(I didn't miss anyone, did I?)

MK, did you ever get the stuff I sent? I didn't hear from you or see any mention so I'm a bit concerned it got lost in the mail.

I meant to post a few days ago but I wanted to publically thank shutterpug for my jacket. That was super kind of her. Now to post a self portrait in it.

The downside was that my daughter gave me her cold/flu when I went to see her at Christmas, and I ended up quarantining myself at my shop for a week to keep any chance of passing the bug on to my wife, as she is spending a lot of time helping her Mom right now. The cold/flu would probably kill her Mom in her weakened state right now.
It's been a rather unique and odd Holiday this year, that's for sure....

If this crap wasn\'t enough already, now a new twist was tossed in.

My Mother-in-Law, Marie, 80, was admitted into the Hospital yesterday with respiratory problems associated with her Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and the collapse of the lower part of her lungs. She\'s had to be sedated and restrained, as she can\'t stand being on a breathing machine. From what the Doctors have said, it is pretty much a one-way trip, as she probably will never be able to come off the ventilator. My wife said that her mother is not doing well with it all, and is getting together with her other 4 sisters to make some decisions.

My wish?
I just wish for a Gaurdian Angel to keep her company and give her the strength to fight it.

The only thing I asked for, was indeed granted.
Marie recovered enough and was released from the Hospital to everyone\'s astonishment, and is doing well.
A heart-felt thank you to the powers that be.

I will definitely let you know when we will be back on the Cape. We are shooting for Memorial weekend (plus a few days).

Brad,

My thoughts are with you and your family. Last year my Father broke his hip and was admitted to the hospital the day after Christmas, he passed on New Years Eve.

There should be some way that this kind of thing can't happen during the holidays.

This is NOT turning out to be a very pleasant Holiday.

I did get word that my being a pain in the ass at family get-togethers has actually been a blessing, as nobody can ever get pictures of Marie, and she absolutely hates her picture being taken. I looked down the road a long way and have taken a lot of pictures of Marie, pretty much all met with great resistance, and knew someday, the 5 sisters would look in hindsight, wishing they had pictures, and for once, am happy to be the family pain-in-the-ass with that damned camera.
