Heh! You'll STILL beat me by a full point. :-)

Visit the next toy store or borrow from a child or a grown up train enthusiast, nobody has said it has to be a real train.
And where is the old coal-train form the harbour? At Árbæjarsafn maybe :)

Exactly. Like with every other challenge just shoot a landscape shot but this time add the toy train somewhere in the distance. Guaranteed top 10 if not higher.

That's OK, we don't have awesome landscapes, glaciers, or gysers here in Houston.

Well, I'm going between two shots. Neither is awesome, both have potential. I doubt they would win, but I don't want to get another mid-5 score right after Lighting.

Looking a bit slim on the number of entries.
I'm in though.

Looks like I may be skipping this one as well. Nothing has worked for me so far. I'm going to go out & shoot again today, maybe I'll get something that works for me, but I'm not holding my breath.

[quote=birgir] I think there will be alot of photographers from Iceland that will take a weekendtrip abrod this weekend to find some railroads... at least I am happy right now living in Stockholm at the moment.

Yeah I'm in Hawaii so no weekend trips for me... and no trains. Do trolley cars count? Kidding. Thought about the toy thing... I do have a six year old boy but, that just doesn't sound appealing.... maybe the toy store where they already have all the nice pretty decorations set up with the tracks? Nah... I'll just sit this one out I think.

I am pretty sure i will be joining you in the DNMC boat.

I'm not in. I took some shots yesterday (even bought a platform ticket for the Shinkansen), and took some shots on the ordinary train, and also of a local line train setting off. But nothing that would do terribly well, so I'm sitting this one out, like I should have sat out some other challenges....

However, I think I got some good shots this morning for the free study.

I'm in. Not a real stock photo type of shot. Might go out and re-shoot tomorrow if the light is better

But I kinda have good luck with subway shots....

I don't know what to do...should I risk it?

Do it!!!!! :)

OK...I am buoyed by the vote of confidence :-))

And if I get hurt by dnmc, at least I am expecting it! No harm no foul

Yay!!!!!!! If anyone, and I mean *anyone*, starts smack-talking dnmc just let me know --- I'll pay them a visit.

The local one here has train rides on Saturday. I already have permission to come hours earlier when they start firing the boilers...

But I already have something I like so I'll probably go just for fun.
