In the forums, I know that you could find photos by their number, entering it into the search. This still works for older photos, but it seems that with the more recent, say those uploaded in the past two weeks, the search doesn't give any results. (I was looking for a forum post with a shot from the most recent free study and found this. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.)

Any insight?

OOB? Also, only forum searching is updated every 5 minutes. I didn't think that the extra overhead was necessary for image searching, so it is done nightly.

Because no one suggested it. =P

This is wonderful. Now to start adding key words.

I never realized we had so many "daisy" photos :)

Nice update. Now I can search for subject line words. Very good. Thanks.

It should only show challenge entries in workshop folders. And if you've recently moved something to your workshop, it will still show in the search until it gets reindexed (nightly). If you really want to hide something, you'll need to specifically hide it in your portfolio manager.

Yay!! Fantastic! I like how it gives the name of the challenge it was entered into, if applicable. Helps some of those thumbnails to make more sense if you know what the person was aiming for!

Great job and well worth the long wait! :)

Another question. Does the search make the disticntion between singular (cat) and plural (cats) and different tenses (rain, raining, rained)?

After running a search on "hummingbirds", I got both plural and singular tenses, so I gather that it knows to cross-reference, which is nice given the limited text space we have for them.

This means I should have used keywords, huh. Well, should we ever get a rainy Sunday around here (ohpleaseohplease), I'll type in descriptions on the sorta good ones.

And thanks, Langdon!

Like with the DPCPrints search, updates will happen nightly. I felt that the extra overhead for image searching wasn't necessary. I did fail to mention in my original post, though, that forum searching has *live updates* now.

Fantastic.

Quick question ... how long after change of the photo details does the search start picking them up. That was a bit convoluted. I have added a couple of keywords but the pics are not being picked up in the search. How long before they will be ... or the index is rebuilt?
