| It works. I have one picture in my portfolio. I will see what else I can find that is done and work on it tonight. I don't remember the details of some of them though. I would have to look for the originals. I will put what I remember. |

Does this mean I get to put pictures in my portfolio? I haven't tried it yet. I have a lot to edit yet but I have some done.
I just entered the free study. This is amazing. I was going to use that picture for my soft focus but had to take it down because I used a soft focus feature on it. I didn't get to enter soft focus at all or rope. It was to late by the time I found out I couldn't use it. Now I can use it for the free study. I am so happy for that. I am dedicating the picture to JOHNBOY1970. |

Are you kidding me? I go to the store and come back to this? I am amazed at you JOHNBOY1970. You are one hell of a guy. I feel terrible I can't do something for you in return. All I can do is say thank you so much for being so generous. I will go check my eamil and see if I can figure out how to do it. JOHNBOY1970, I owe you one. If I get another ribbon it's yours.
You are all great. I mean that deeply from my heart. jeannybeany thank you. The ribbon was a fluke win but for winning it my daughter went ahead to the office max and bought me Paint Shop Pro 8. She thinks I need a better editing system and I do. I was trying out version X but version 8 is really good to. I will try it out tomorrow on my no subject contest picture. hellyeh!
I feel I have to do my best from now on. It's a lot of shoulder weight. All I can do is try. I better read up on advanced editing rules. hehe. I'm proud to be here with all the grandpas and grandmas and the kids!

Thank you biteme and skiprow. Just dumb luck for that ribbon but I am very happy to have it.
One of these days I am going to ask why some picked the names they did here. Some are so funny. hehe.
I don't buy things over the internet and my daughter doesn't either so I will not be getting a paid membership. I am having fun doing the exclusive open contests and I am working on one of them today. I'm all a mess because one of them is another craft project. heh. |

I want to thank you all for being so great. I am so happy with the ribbon I found this morning. It was a big surprise and beginners luck. There were better pictures I voted on so I want to thank all of you who voted and liked my picture. It is being inspected to make sure I did everything right. I almost couldn't find my original and my editing notes. A lucky brake I found them both.
I'm sorry the gift membership doesn't work JOHNBOY1970. I am still happy that you were generous to want to give it to me. I won't forget that and that you tried so hard.
I will work on one of the open contests this week. I have some time to go vote now so I will go and do that.

Hi Ed,
Welcome to DPC I bet you will enjoy it. As you are aware by now, there are a number of unselfish photographers ready to help if you are in need.
Now let me introduce myself, I\'m a Mexican leaving in the UK with my family (a lovely wife and a beautiful baby daughter) so we are far away from home. I am not missing much really but the food and the sun :) I am a PhD student (and one of the oldest in the program at that) so I have to live again on a tight scholarship budget for the next three years.
In terms of DPC and photography, I joined back in 2004 and have been following the evolution of the site even if I don’t participate too often in the challenges. I have learned alot and there is so much to discover yet, maybe that is why I am interested in photography. From July, I commit myself to participate more and I hope to submit at least for three challenges a month. I love photography even though I don’t know much about it, my camera has now more than 14,000 pics registered so I have been busy :) and really need a new one (hopefully soon I will get a DSLR).
If you need something and I can help, feel free to contact me.
