Congrats!!

Thanks! I changed my op. Didn't want anybody to think I had help or something. The real story...I took him in about a dozen and told him I had a favorite but didn't tell him which one and he picked it, too, as his favorite.

I thought it was a great challenge to vote on. They were all beautiful.

My submission was published in The Wilmington News Journal. I can't believe they ran an 11 by 7!....turned out great...and the editor put a nice comment about my "keen camera eye". I felt pretty darn good for a few days. Now if I could just convince him to pay me something for my photos instead of contributed by...

Gorgeous eye candy! Wonderful shots everyone!

Here is my b/w version:

Here is one I toyed with. It had no foreground so I turned into an abstract. I have a LOT of them that aren't edited yet. I will be working on them in the next few weeks and putting them in my port. My first try at firework shooting and I am very pleased with the results. It is really worth it to read tutorials and research how to shoot some things.

My entry

It came down between this one and my eventual entry.

My very first attempt EVER at taking pics of fireworks (July 3) pretty hilarious huh?

I loved this one, but it was taken on July 3

NOW you tell me! It was a tough decision but I was going for the RWB theme in my entry. I thought my outtake would be a bit different, and I only saw a couple similar.
