What was wrong with them? I got mine from them and they are nice. Mind you, they are not top notch, after all, we didn't pay top notch prices but they didn't suck. I have gotten nothing but compliments on them.

I would like to hear from people about where they have ordered cards from, and the experience they had.

I ordered cards from Overnight Prints and was pretty disappointed. The front and back were supposed to be the same color (they were in my uploaded images), and they came back drastically different.

I am currently looking for new options for business cards that are in the works.

Thanks.

Quick question, did you order it matt or glossy? I know from printing at home, it changes the color a LOT depending on the coating on the paper.

The design side is glossy, the back is not.

For those wondering I asked Seefore about his clear ones and he couldn't remeber the website but warned me they are pricy.

I found the website:

//www.plasmadesign.co.uk/plasticbusinesscards.htm

100 cards = $236

Yeah pricy but they sure look good.

I uploaded a design to vistaprint and the design I have is much more vibrant than what they sent me. I called them and they said they will refund my money so I will keep an eye out for it in my account. Customer Service was great. I just wasn't happy with the quality.

I have ordered some from //www.printmadeeasy.com to see what they offer. I really would like to go somewhere and see them in hand before I buy but I don't have that option.

I decided to order both sides glossy (UV coated)--so they should have looked the same. Looking back, I really didn't like the design, but that is not really the point.

I liked my cards just fine. I don't know whether they all get printed in the same place and then get shipped out or whether each country prints their own but myine were fine.

Here is my new business card. Yes it is for a very very specific type of photography (but it is the type I most enjoy). I ordered from vistaprint, and because of a "sale" 500 were very very cheap. Finished card looks pretty much exactly what the screen shot looks like. (I ordered mat, 500, uploaded logo and then added text on-line) price was $23.38 (including rush delivery)

right now I have 4 that I use depending on what disclipline of riding I am marketing.

Sorry I have them as 4-up in the sample.... that's how I set them up to be printed all at once.

It's only one sided. Just something simple for now.

i might do a sports card, but i like this one because it really stands out.

This is my card. After reviewing everyone else's, I find that simplicity is the key. It's pretty self explanatory. Its blury because of the scan. But the cards themselves are very clear and nice.

I am not a professional however my wife owns a printing company. Thru out the years I have seen and learned from her. Above are alot of nice cards and many that are so-so. The text and the fonts used are very important. You do not want the customer having a hard time reading your name or phone number. What do you want them to see? The pretty picture or your name and number or even both.

It is tough to design a effective card. One that stays with the prospect or one that gets tossed. Lets see what you come up with.

Good luck.

One of the best cards I've received is from Redback Networks (named after a vicious lil spider from Australia) ... guess what color the back of the card is? Guess which card sticks out from all the others?
