| Voters are definitely starting out pretty harsh for Stopped Motion... I was totally stoked with a shot I got yesterday, but so far it's averaging a 5.8. I'm hoping to shoot something decent for one of the exclusive open challenges tonight... Voters tend to be a bit nicer when voting on the open challenges. ;) |

I'm hoping we just had a bad night. I have a score of 5.72, but had hoped (expected?) something in the low-to-mid 6's. We shall see what the day brings.

God, the voter's here sometimes piss me off. I know my entry in stopped motion isn't great but a 4.6 is just plain ridiculous. So that's not going well...

I am continuously taking part in the contest and checking my mail at least 3 times a day.I confirm the receipt of mail even now.
In BITS & PIECES I am doing normal 4.7 at present.Will submit for the FROM THE GROUND UP III on Monday.

Well, I wasn't doing anything malicious. I posted in this thread where you had access...I didn't PM anybody and tell them to do this secretly. I just figured we needed someone as captain who was participating and since you had said that you couldn't (and I totally understand that other things are more important) I still don't see what the problem is. In any case, good luck with what you're doing.

Team Pinhole,
rex has formally requested that I remove his name from the WPL via PM. I regret that we have lost a good photographer but the WPL is a voluntary team league therefor I have to honor and respect his request and wishes.
If he decided to enter DPC challenges his score WILL NOT count toward team Pinhole or the WPL.
I want everyone to respect his decision and the decision of team Pinhole.
I wish rex the best and understand he wants to spend more time with his family. I wish team Pinhole's the best as they will be short one player. But lets put this behind us and everyone have mutual respect for each other.

I will honor your request. Please send me an email stating that so I will have a copy. Upon receipt of your email I will take you name off the WPL site if that is what you want.
As far as the PM we were talking about I can't give you an answer why you didn't get it. Maybe something on DPC side or my IP side. I usually keep a copy of all Pm's sent and emails sent in my outlook box but had to reinstall my computer several days ago. I think I had a thread about that, not sure. But I lost all my backed up emails. |

I can't explain why you didn't get the PM. WPL1 and WPL2 I have always PM or email participants and captains about issues like this, always! As most participants of the WPL can vouch. Sorry you didn't receive it but here is what I said (to the best of my memory).

I will be more than willing to take you off. But I don't understand how you can call it rude of them rex. You are the one that stated you were not going to participate for week four or the rest of the season. If you were the captain (of a real world team) and did not show and told them you were not going to for the rest of the season they would replace you with another captain.
However I feel it was rude announcing in the forums that you were officially retired from challenges and most forums here for now before you even considered informing your team. Before getting mad; think about it.
1. You choose to quit
2. You did so not even giving your team notice.
3. You post in your teams thread that you are not going to participate and then call them names when they replace you with another person as captain.
4. Yes you said you would try to enter this week but did not agree to any other weeks. But not the season.

Hi rex, I agreed to let them change captains because I PMed you and got no response plus I seen your post that you were not going to participate. I also viewed your post here which lead me to believe you were not going to participate. I totally understand your reasons and have no problem with that. But you should understand that the team wants a captain to lead team. I don't think they in anyway was trying to be mean or rude. They were going on your post. You will remain on the team in case you decide to participate in a challenge.
I hope you understand as we understand your reasons.

I have contacted Southern Gentleman and have asked him to switch me into the captain's spot.
MrExpress emailed me today and indicated that he has been out-of-pocket, but should be able to start participating. That said, where we are is:
Nobody - actively participating
Cutlasdude70 - actively participating
DAWAR - actively participating
Cresus - actively participating
MRXpress - noshow to date, but promising to start
Rex - inactive (but hopefully that will change?)
GreenGiant - not participating, has not responded to PMs.
That means we have 4 definite participants, one promising to start, and 2 inactives.
The bottom line is that we need 100% participation each week, because we really can't count on somebody having our backs. I would ask that everyone try to get in at least one entry each week - any score is better than the zero we get when only 3 enter. Frankly, a boring but in-focus, properly balanced shot will usually score around 5, you should be able to get something in with just an hours' effort.
If you don't mind, I would also appreciate it if you could PM me with your email addresses so I can send distributions to the team. The DPC PM system works, but I have to send to each of you individually.
Who has entries in this week (week 4)? I only have one, which is at a 5.25 right now. Not great, but I had been out of the country until Sunday, and it's certainly better than a zero. |

I agree...there's no reason to not enter. I'm nominating Nobody to take over as captain since rex isn't able to participate anymore. Even though I'm really busy for the next week I'm going to enter something even if I don't like it much simply so we have enough entries. I'm going to really try and take some cool shots though.
