I WANT THAT CAMERA!
I am sick of seeing pics from that camera. Does anyone want to buy my other 4 cameras so I could get it?

Great shots. I love the DOF on all of them. The whites on the forehead are blown out on the monkey and a touch on the nose of the lion. Colors look a little too red on the lion, and oversaturated in the reds on the bird.
Those are just my overcritical nit picks....they really are great!

Gary:

Your photos are awesome and they are making me very jealous. I wish I had the skill and equipment that you had. The clarity and the colors are just amazing.

I had a few cute lemur shots with a mother and baby from my last trip to the zoo so I decided I'd upload them and share them too! They aren't even close to the quality of yours but they are pretty cute. I have some funny shots of other animals too.

Hey Gary,

I like that all three animals show an almost humanly expression. I don't like the background of "Cuddly" because there is a branch or something going right through the head. Also it's a tad overexposed on the forehead. I would have chosen a portrait format for the lion and cropped more from the left and the right to get closer. I think that picture somehow just asks for a very near closeup view. "Marauder" is perfect. That's my favourite from all three, because of the strong expression and excellent technical execution.

Ok. Hard enough? ;)

I hope I can get some too next week. On Friday we´re going to visit the Swedish Zoo called "Kolmården" for two days and I´m going to test my new 70-200mm/2.8 IS lens. Did you use the 75-300mm lens for yours?

One of the best zoo's I've ever been to. :)

I have just been at Artis, Amsterdam. Compared to my memories and other zoo's it is getting old, small and dirty. I thought I had some good photo's and now Kiwi comes with stuff like this. Damn.
I'll publish some stuff next week, most was shot at 350mm eqv (210mm zoom of the 602 + 1.7x Oly TCON-17). The 70-200 2.8 IS is the lens that got me thinking about a Nikon/Fuji system. Show us what you come up with. :)

Kiwi, I just love that Marauder shot. The eye is so powerful; "What are you looking at, wan't to be kicked like I kick a snake?"
