Dang I should have guessed just breaking 6.0. then maybe my score would reflect that. As of right now I am at the 5.24 range

Im in duotone... hmm mthe hopeful guess is 5.8 but with my past few entries bearly making it to a 5 even we'll see

Frankly, I wish that were true, but unfortunately when people are scoring they compare, and if they give an 8 to a nice photo, based on that score they will look at others, go from that 8, and score not so good photos to 1 or 2 for every little thing that they can come up with that is wrong. Anyway, it won't matter with me. I always get below 5's, except for a very few. Not that I can see much wrong with them, bur apparently in comparison mine are considered sub standard.Originally posted by Rikki:

Shoulda entered Fashion....it's what all the cool people are doing. Actually...nwo that I think about it, you should definately stay out of fashion....yes, that way I can finally get my ribbon.

I am very happy with my "duotone" entry, so hope it will score whatever I deserve..... I will be happy with a high 5's.
I would be over the moon and back again, if I reach the 6's. I don't think that possible yet, as this is only my fourth "challenge" entry, but I am allowed to DREAM, arn't I.....

| After spending an hour looking at the last duotones and my entry, and comparing it to my previous scores, I will be lucky to break a 5. I think I'll sit this one out after all. |

I decided to enter duotones, though after my high in January, down to the depths of despair in February, I have been tempted to just put my camera away. I predict that this one will be at least a 5.5, but that could mean that it is 500th out of the field the way the votes have been going.
Just got a new lens today, it is a close-up lens for my Sony. Took a few shots, but the only thing it seems to allow me to do is just take shots closer, but the focus and detail is about the same as if I just used macro. I was able to get to within 9 inches of my subject and still get clarity. Not sure how it will help, but when the bees start buzzing, maybe it will serve to take some nice shots. |

I dunno... still haven't shot anything... but I have a few hours left ;-)
Gonna have to be duotones... I'm just not in a mood to deal with models or makeup.
Duotoned cheese perhaps ;-)
