However, it is my oldest daughter's birthday today, which we celebrated last Friday and hubby's is 2/22 which we celebrated at the same time because he left for the UK the next day. I'm bah humbug about most holidays. I like buying people gifts but I'm not a card person (someone else's sentiments). I don't like being told today (or any other holiday) is what counts. I'd prefer to buy someone a gift whenever I feel like it, not on the day everyone else celebrates.

Hey, I *love* Whitby, shame you can't be there... it's quite a romantic place. What's he up to there?

My wife got some cute Valentine photos done of our boy at Picture People. Maybe she's trying to politely tell me that some 17 y/o kid at the mall takes better photos than me. :-(

Just hoping my hubby gets a chance at the phone so he can call from Afghanistan. His present from me arrived Friday (misc goodies and a mushy card), my present from him arrived Saturday (photo books!).

Laurie, you were closest to correct. After speaking with him again today, he explained that what he meant was us cooking together (or him cooking if I didn't want to) so he could meet my family. I guess its sweet, just seems a bit rushed for 2nd date. I've agreed to the dinner - but as I'm already a bit on edge... well I just hope it goes better than my expectations.

JP - not funny! heheee :P

So he just invited me out to MY house to cook HIM a meal!!! God I hate dating!! Didn't even occur to him that I have 2 kids and a roommate at home! How romantic for a 2nd date. Yup, time to end this one. Next....!

He just didn't want you going to his house and finding out about his wife and 3 kids.

Hey - let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt here.

Maybe he wants to bring you flowers or other presents, and doesn't want you to have to carry them around all night. Or maybe he was planning to bring over dinner himself, or wanted to share the joy and companionship of cooking it with you. Or maybe he wants to meet the people that are important to you. Maybe he wasn't thinking about an escalation in the physical part of your relationship just yet (2nd date? kinda quick for that...); therefore, extra people around wouldn't make a difference.

I'd like to give birth to my baby but he's not due for another 4 weeks. :-(

Will be sitting watching the Olympics and maybe munching chocolates and sniffing the flowers if I get them. :-)

Update:
Well I got some new Chanel parfum, one of the newest ones and a mushy card, and am watching the Olympics. Poor man had a long day, after I kept him awake last night with my snoring, so that's why I'm still up late to give him some rest.

Me and the wife are going to the Marriott. We got the same room we had our honey moon in. Of course her aunt works in the head office of this place, so we get a really good deal on the suite.

No romantic plans here either. I took the night off tomorrow to watch the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on t.v. (yearly traditional for me). Hubby will be at work, so it's just me, Tucker and a whole bunch of dogs. Ruff Ruff

No plans here, either. It is my day off, however (tuesdays always are) so at least that's something. My husband has to work, but I'll have my kids so maybe we can do something fun. :D Enjoy everyone!

Why do we even call this day a holiday? I think the idiot who invented this so called holiday was a masochist.

No plans...will be home, probably reading. How depressing...

V-day...evil, miserable holiday. I'm single and alone for it. Will probably end up doing homework and working on my novel.
Had a girl I was gonna ask out, but after we had lunch, she seemed to have as much interest in me as she would in roadkill. *sigh*
Guess I'll eat the chocolates myself :P
