Looks surreal, but is that the real sky or is this a composite?

edit: never mind Steve, I just scrolled down a bit and realized it was submitted for a challenge.

Just for the record... yes, it IS the real sky. Being an advanced challenge I processed the sky a little different to bring out the drama of the clouds.

I originally did this image for the March '04 free study challenge but did not enter it on the advice that voters would think it was "fake".

I kicked myself for it afterward because I really like it. I was granted a reprieve when the best of 2004 challenge came along and I got a second chance to submit it. :)
