I envy you for being able to see this live! Someday I'd like to go spend time in Barcelona.

When I first looked at your picture, I thought, "Everything is falling off to the right!" But actually I like the perspective, the more I look at it. I'm wondering about the colour of the sky, it's purplish and white (at least on my screen), almost the same shades as the purples and whites on the building - I'm wondering if different colour sky would enhance the photo or not. Weird.

Take care,

~Ursula

Hey Alexis,
I'm a big fan of Gaudi and have been many times in Barcelona. I also know that casa batllo is a very hard nut to crack, i remember that everything stands in the way to take a descent photograph. So: I take my hat of for you, my Catalonian friend, because you succeeded where I failed!

It's not at all a bad effort, the diffficulties considered Alexis - and I love those shark-mouth balconies. Even in Joan Bergos' book on Gaudi there isn't a decent full photograph of the Casa Batllo. Have you tried taking shots of details, or of areas of the facade (or even the fabulous roof, if you can get into the building across the street) - they can often be more representative than trying to shoot the entire facade of a place.

Hi guys!

I took this picture yesterday in Barcelona. This is one the most represantive building of the Gaudi´s Art. I had to take the picture in this angle, because just in front of the building there are a subway station and a big tree. So it´s not possible to get a good picture in front of.

Take care & have fun
