I have the Sigma 12-24 and it's a great lens.

Ditto, don't forget the Tokina 12-24mm which according to some reviews is better than the Sigma.
It all depends on how wide you want to get and how much you want to spend, the Canon 17-40mm f/4L is another option or the more expensive Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L |

Your camera can use any Canon EF lens. The 10-22 is a EF-S this lens will work on the 20D but not the 5D. I was not sure if it would work on the 10D I guess you answered your question about that.
As far as a good wide angle lens goes, I use the 16-35mm L but you can use the 17-40mm just fine you only lose an f-stop, but it is like half the price.
As Manic posted these will work also if price is a consideration...

Well, here I am in Zimbabwe and I tell you there are no decent photographic equipment retailers! Especially not in 'the city' of KweKwe!
I am wanting to buy a wide angle lens for my 10D and not being able to test one at all, I really need some thoughts and opinions from you so that I can try to make a decision as to what to get! Honestly I don't even know what will fit and what will not fit the 10D as I recently read that the 10-22 Canon won't go on my 10D!
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
