thanks man, for me also it was not planned, i went to hiroshima to see a new born baby (of a friend), and its walk away from bus stop. My wife forced me to go there, we had around 1 hour to just rushed through the museum. Next time, i will try to get better pictures.

Definitely NOT the first bomb....they were the largest bombs ever dropped by one human being on another human being. But they were not the first...the history of man is full of bombs and war.

yes nagasaki was another place where bomb exploded. I consider then as a part of same event. Otherwise technically it was not the first bomb either, because before them, there will be few exploded in controlled enviroment during testing etc. (may be secretly).

Um....didn't we also bomb Nagasaki?

Here stands a monument that witnessed first and only atomic bombing. Around 600 meters above this building the bomb exploded. The exact location could be made clear from this picture.

The following picture presents the watch that stopped when bomb exploded.

This is how it looked after 4 days (4 days or one week, photograph was taken just after the explotion)
