Mines been slowly going up the last few days, which is good I guess. People seem to be recognizing it as one that they underscored in the first round and are giving it bump up points. It's still not good though (for me) at 5.3.

The nice thing about a 2 week challenge is that I'm long over it by the time the voting is over. ;) My dreams of a top 20 are long since dashed.

I only voted for about 150 entries. Sorry, I just literally do not have more than a couple hours of free time a week and usually don't spend them online. :( I feel bad, but I did the best I could. 800 entries is overwhelming, and I tend to spend 30 seconds to a few minutes on each one.

If I had the ability easily to score 10s on all the images in this challenge, I would.

The winners here will be talked about for a long time to come.

The imagery I've had the opportunity to view for it is simply astounding. Kudos to each and every one of you who entered. The sad part is that everyone can't get much deserved ribbons for their outstanding photography.

Given your past performance you are certain to be at or near the top. This challenge will be a BIG feather in the cap of ribbon winners and high finishers.

Shame I didn't think to have mine validated, as I think some suspect one
of the major components was over-edited. (which it wasn't - little editing really)

At 800+ entries, the average number of votes is currently sitting at an abnormally low percentage of the total number of submitters(about 440). Given that most voters also submit to the challenge they vote on this implies that the average voter evaluated just over 1/2 the total images in the challenge.

Can't blame them for that! That is a bunch of pictures.

I wonder what effects, if any, from that will be reflected in the inevitable raft of complaints that will follow the close of voting tonight. :)
