Good luck to you, you're going to have a NOISY house for a couple of hours!!!

More than you know we took the opportunity to get half price fireworks at CVS and Eckard Drugs...thats going to be the finale of the party provided it doesn't decide to rain all evening Friday.

"Pin the Tail on the Donkey"
"Musical Chairs"

How about a "Treasure Hunt", with clues that the kids have to follow to finally get to their loot bags.

Good luck to you, you're going to have a NOISY house for a couple of hours!!!

1) fill a shoe (or other) box with candy. wrap with about 10 layers of wrapping paper (which is why it is great to save the B-Day wrapping from presents each year!), play music. kids sit in circle. pass around like a hot potatoe. stop music. child holding box takes off a layer of paper. Repeat until all layers are off. Candy gets dumped in the middle.. children put "treasure" in goody bags.

2) hang donuts from a string. first to eat it off string with hands behind back "wins"

3) egg on spoon race

4) sack race

5) Three legged (tie two kid's feet together -one left, one right) race

6) Cut dino feet out of paper bags, and fit on kid's feet over shoes. Egg race on spoon ... egg back to the nest

7) candy toss - into an appropriate themed container

8) water balloons

9) tie dye shirts

10) statue: play music and stop it intermittantly... kids have to keep position.. move you lose

and probably more!
:)
Have fun!

Help, help, help!!! It has been so long since I was to a kid's birthday party that wasn't held at McDonalds or Chuck E Cheese that I am sitting here trying to remember some of the fun kids games we did at parties. Only one I really remember is the clothes pin dropped into a jar.

Can anyone refresh my memory on kids games...I am having a birthday party here Friday night for my soon to be 7 year old.
