I would have scored it high, but it's hard to say what the general public would do. Sometimes a shot like that works, other times it totally tanks...I think it's impossible to know.

My White Challenge has dropped, but still very happy with the score. Probably going to be my best yet.

I thought that the Delicate would have scored higher, but as you say, "You can never tell how it would have scored based on a few comments in a thread."

Being different is the problem. Many of the fickle voters would automatically give it a 1 without thinking about it. Anyway, thanks to the awesome comments, my mate has conceeded that may be he was wrong with this call.

Being that it's my dog and a good shot of her, it wasn't a flippant dismissal of a good shot. I just don't think it would have made the top 20 with the lack of direct connection to the topic "delicate" even though the challenge description clearly gives similar examples.

Having read the responses, it seems that I (happily) would be proven wrong. It just goes to show how people see the same image so differently and why scoring can be, errr, erratic.

Cool, thanks man!

Ribbon shot, NO doubt. You should be depressed and kick your friend's ass.

...hehehe j/k! ...about kicking his ass, I mean. I meant it about the ribbon. :)

Hehehehe! So do I get a prize :D Now if I can only make my cat Maia do that :)

Try using a rectal thermometer, Rikki :-)

I haven't voted "delicate" yet, but I'd sure as heck have seeded that in my top seeds pending further voting... Hell of a shot.

Thanks for your comments!

Good luck to all those that entered the "Delicate" Challenge. I'm about halfway through voting. Would have been some tough competition anyway.

Thanks for your comment!

Then why didn't you submit it? What made you decide to enter light on white instead? Did you have even higher hopes for light on white?

Awesome DoF, great detail, love the concept, top 15-20 easily.

This is a great shot, it wasn't going to get a ribbon or anything in my opinion, but still a great shot, the teeth and mouth are tack sharp with a very nice DOF on the forehead, I would've gave it an 8 ..
