Ummm, I've dropped some more lol.

I'll have my new camera next week though. God willing it will be here before we leave for NC and I can get some great shots of the lil one with great grandma to put in b&w.

After that it's on. I think if I have a camera that can do more there may be hope for me lol. I just may get above a 4.3!

I agree Roger. I thought there were some beautiful photos out there...I have my top favs, of course, none of which were mine, but I had a great time looking through the pics. I think my average vote on the challenge is about 6.9 to 7.0! Best of luck to everyone and hey, only a couple of hours left and yippee, the pain'll be over.

Wish I could break the 6 mark.

well I was holding out hope for a great first challenge score but its dropped below 5.5 now. I was hoping to stay above that! There is still hope, and for a first challenge I am still happy with it.

Thanks for the explanation Bear, and I couldn't agree more. It was getting next to impossible to view/vote on all the entries.

That's correct; paid site members can click an "update" button and see real-time updates of their scores. The registered members only see updates on an hourly basis.

The site is running simultaneous open challenges now; the "exclusive" part is that you can only enter one of them at a time. If you've posted an entry to "exclusive challenge A", you won't be able to post to "exclusive challenge B" unless you first delete your submission to challenge A. It's a way of reducing the size of the field in the open challenges; we were regularly seeing 550+ entries in these challenges and it was wearisome to vote on them.

Hi everyone,

Excuse my ignorance (I've been away for a while) but has anything changed in the way open challenges are handled? The reason I ask is, I see they are now called "Exclusive Open Challenge".

I did a quick search of the site but couldn't find anything on the "Exclusive" Open Challenge.

So if you're a member, you get to see instant updates on your score???

Hmmm?

Hey, basssman7, you have 13 votes more than I do! Not fair. :)

Goin downhill fast! LOL. Oh well, it is fun. I am not a full member so I have to wait for a full hour before I see an update. I also cannot see the scores yet. (almost enough to make me pay some $ and join so I do not have to go through this agony!!)

Actually I am planning on joining next week anyways. That way I can enter more challenges and have more reason to keep shooting. Hopefully it will pay off.

Good luck everyone.

I have just spent the last hour commenting on some of the entries here. Some beautiful shots it has really been a pleasure viewing. I am new here and am very impressed. I am glad I didn't enter this one I couldn't even begin to compete.

Hey hubby likes mine and wants to frame it lol. So there!

I just keep telling myself that lol. And he's honest, he wouldn't just tell me that to make me feel better.

Or would he?
