Stitching multiple images would be illegal. There's a way for you to pull it off.

WOW! since highest score on shots for sigma 10/20 under equip tab is 5.8 something or other I'm skeert (hear the drawl?)...with my avg being about a 3 (mere mortal) to you photographic gods avg of 7 or so...I figure on bout a 2 for this SUBJECTIVE challenge...since I now know I don't know complementary colors (seems they MUST be opposites), or what can go on a blank card, or what a celebration is...also purty clueless on personification and pride (cough)...

on serious note...challenges are subjective to the extreme..I just ask that folks be kind and when you give us(I can't be totally alone) anything under a 4...please let us know KINDLY how we might improve...after all I'm only here to LEARN to take better photographs...not to learn what I already know...that not everyone is kind :-)...and those like brad and sandy and graphic and and and I thank you for your love and kindness :-)...good luck everyone !!!! To all those without a mega wide lens - don't stress, just take the best photo you can. Seems to me that ribbons go to the best image that meets the challenge reasonably well, not to a reasonable image that best meets the challenge!

Well here's a good excuse to burn $700. heh
10/10/2005 01:50:56 AM · #17
you can always back up and zoom in... :)

Those should work just fine. I don't think my mundane camera will accept that. And to think, 10 months ago, I thought my camera was "da bomb." ROFL

For those without wide angle. How about them fancy adapters? The kind that screw onto the lens and give a wide angle or fisheye look. Those should work. Right?

Well there goes my idea out the window :P

Anything wider than a 50 is considered a wide angle lens. (be sure to include the camera crop!)

...but I expect the fisheye's to dominate this one.

I just hope 18mm is enough to please the masses...
10/10/2005 01:06:29 AM · #23
The way I look at it ... use the widest you have. If it's a fixed 50mm then that is the widest you have in your bag. If you have a PS then don't zoom, leave it as open as it goes.

BUT, correct those with the real 10-15 mm will probably do better just because it will look like they met the challenge better. I hope everyone can just be NICE and not downgrade votes just becasue it doesn't look "wide angle" becasue that is not what is required ... it does not have to be wide angle just taken with the most open lens you have.

I wonder if a non-fish eye will place...
