I sent a PM for this one:

Ok, Tim has picked the winners! Sorry about the delay. I know he and his family found them quite funny--and I'm sure it was hard to pick from this group.

I want to add that I was particularly impressed with the clever takes on this. And well done too. Tim now has a nice set of keepsake photos.

So here it is. I said only one winner, but I asked him for three places, so I could present the "honors" of second and third place to those who he picked.

First Place: Ken Priest

Ken--pick any of my shots and send a PM with your address, tell me what size you want up to 8x10, and you got it!

Second Place: Diana Clark

Third Place: Rengim

Great job everyone. I had a lot of fun in this, and I hope you did to. But as an extra thanks, over the next couple of weeks, I'll try to visit everyone's portfolio who contributed and do a critique of one of your portfolio images as an offer of my own gratitude.

Regards--Neil

Just an update. I'm hoping to hear from Tim by the end of the weekend at the latest. His wife looked them over and thought they were hillarious! He's just busy.

If I don't hear by the end of the weekend, I'll get my family to do the voting.

Sorry about that!

Thanks Everyone! What a hillarious group! I'm putting them together in a slide show and I will present it to him (and his family--they'll enjoy it even more) this weekend. And then I'll ask either Tim or his family to pick the winner! I'll post it in this thread when we have a decision.

Thanks again,

Neil

Easiest for non DPC members (without portfolios), go to imageshack, upload it (you don't even need an account), and after you upload it, they give you the form code to insert in your post here.

The forum code will look similar to this with different names (and I've changed the square brackets to parentheses so it displays as text here:

(URL=//img237.imageshack.us/my.php?image=yourphoto.jpg)(IMG)//img237.imageshack.us/img237/2389/yourphoto.jpg(/IMG)(/URL)

I'm new here. I have a few pics that I want to post for the contest.....can someone please tell me how to post them into the message?
Thanks!

since you don't have portfolio yet you will have to post them on a server somewhere (maybe whoever provides your internet access has room set aside for you), then link to it. See my photo above, I had to put on my personal site then link. If you can't do this maybe PM nshapiro and see if you can email them to him, or let me know maybe I can put them on mine for the time being.
