I like the first one quite a bit. The expression on his face and placement of his hands create a more "grown up" image. While the soft focus of his feet in the foreground and the ruffled surroundings are more wild and crazy kid. I think it captures this age quite well.

Yesterday, my friend came over and wanted me to take some photos of her two little boys. I had them upstairs and through that entire experience I realized the importance of buying some good lights! Well, this is what I came out with. The mom loved these photos so I am just going to post them. I personally think I could have done much better but I am learning and the boys wouldn't sit still at all. What a challenge!
