It is definitely a moiré pattern, but to be that bad no amount of changing angle of view is going to cure it. I would say there is a problem with the sensor, either it has been damaged or has moved in some way.

Looks like a hardware problem. Good luck getting it fixed. When I sent my Fuji in for repairs, it was the longest four months of my life. Fuji service (USA) sucks!

hehe..Robert

format the card yes ofcourse i did that a few times
it was not the solution

but the dirty contact thats what i was thinking of too as a probable cause

i better check out the repair shop asap for this

On the plus side that's a HELL of an image and 100% legal in challenges to boot. I'd be inclined to keep it as is and use it for weird shots.

Looks like a hardware problem to me. I saw something similar in a Finepix 3800 and it was a dirty contact between the sensor and the circuit board.
I would take it to a repair shop ASAP!

Looks like corrupt data somehow. First thing is to try reformatting the memory card in the camera.

i have 2 compact Fuji's to shoot with
the FujiF810 is on intensive care after the rain challenge ;--((

my second cam this Fuji E550 is letting me down too
all images have these strange rasters all over the image
i have no clue where it comes from and whats worse i don t know how to get rid of it
does anybody recognizes these effects or has any idea whats happening???

im 100% sure its the cam and not some software from the pc or something wich causes these effects
also i checked all the settings on the cam and nothing unusal i can find
