That's the funny part. Chit isn't his name. He changed it midstream. I think if you get familiar with him you'll realize that he started it all for a kick, or he's got a serious Chit on his shoulder. No one is seriously out to get eyeronic. We are all just blowing off a little steam. When he originally posted, he steamed up quite a few people and that was his intention. He repeatedly came back to throw another shovelful of CHIT and to tell us all that he was leaving for good. Before he left, he changed all the information in his profile to something that would give us all a bit more to talk about. His intentions, IMHO, was to gather some attention for himself. He has succeeded, maybe better than he originally intended. This like other threads will eventually die, (maybe even faster since I have posted to it!), and Chit will drop once more into obscurity. I think humor, at the expense of a fictional character in this case, is a good thing. It lightens everyones load a little bit and lets us cope with the struggles around us just a little bit better. Eyeronic was a grown-up, 25 if I remember his cached page correctly, and he knew exactly what was in the can of worms he opened. If he decides to come back and participate on DPC, I will be the first one in a long line of people to welcome him back.
Now, lets get back to photography.... Is the rumor true that all Canon L glass is really made at the Nikkor factory since they produce the best lenses on earth? ;-)

I agree... normally I wouldn't make fun of some one just to be mean. I was just on my way home from work and random play on words popped in my head... don't know why. Hence the title... Random Chit!

Its totally unfair and pointless for them too. They have reels of that crap to submit. Even if you ask for original its not exactly impossible to fake it.
I say whats the point in the system if its not fair? Let everyone submit anything from anytime. Otherwise the whole site is just filled with pro photographers advert shootings or some macro close up of an toothpick with a black background. That is the key to success here. Obvious photos. Macro with 100mp camera with black background = wow! thats a winner! Or better still some totally obvious uncreative shite.
You can look back on this when the current challenges finish to see I am right:
Illusions II = photos that will finish up top
A picture of a woman that looks like a curved rock or something - guarenteed. Its obvious and uncreative, so it will probably win.
A macro of anythin with a black background with some sparks or just whatever. black background a must x5 photos
Many many many photos not taken in the right time period!
TIME ERA - winners
An old mans face or some shitty black and white face will win.
A boring watch macro with black background
Many totally bullshit pictures that arent anything to do with time era since it can easily be defined as "anything". A cup of tea can be an era if I opinionate that it is. Era of drinking tea for the british.
A grandfather clock in sepia tone or some obvious shit even though its not an era
Some crappy baseball shit
A big fat juicy hairy turd dripping with horse sweat
