Great suggestions everyone!
I appreciate it.
The railing IS very distracting, really no way to get around it.
Maybe get on stage with them and shoot from the side?
I do need to try different angles though and some good close-ups.
Any more opinions?
Keep them coming...
Jeff

Sorry but the composition just doesn't impress me enough in any of them for me to say a publication would snap these up. I agree that you should have gone in closer... or at least gone for a more imaginative viewpoint than the rest of the audience.

I concur with Karen. Try to lose the people in the foregeound also and get in good and tight. Possibly some of the crowd really getting into the music or children dancing, this always pleases editors. Also try some regional papers/Magazines and some religious papers, none of them will pay very much but it gets you published. Good luck!

IMHO that they all seem too far away, not much detail, can't make out faces. The railing is very distracting to me. Try a different angle tomorrow and zoom in more if you can. See if you can get access to behind the railing I bet those shots would be great.
This type of event is all about emotion and expression. Look for those shots.

Hope this helps

Went to a Gospelrama concert today and took a few pics.
I'm going back again tomorrow and get some more.
Here's the question:
Do these look like they would be OK to submit to a local newspaper?
And if so which one is best? or worse?
Don't hold back,
thanks
Jeff
