LOL...Frank are you in the desert? Of course the desert has it's beauty and sighhhhhh so does Florida. In fact I usually make a point of finding virtue...but how I'd love to breathe the crisp autumn air. In the northeast we had lots of wonderful festivals in Fall, like pumpkin, and apple fests, and other harvest fests. One of the best is the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival. Maybe next year I'll get back for all the Autumnal splendor.

Ohhhhhhh I'm sooooo jealous of all you leaf peepers. I've been living in Florida for a year this month and I miss my favorite time of year up in the North East. Sob
To those of you who have the good fortune of photographing autumn foliage, please post on pbase or somewhere and post the links so I can see...and eat my heart out. Thanks! :-)

Hey at least your leaves are turning. Here in Western North Carolina, we usually have brilliant reds, oranges and yellows by now. As of yet, except in the highest elevations, THEY ARE STILL GREEN. I figure they will change one day and fall of the next.

Foliage here in beautiful Central NY is not up to its usual brilliance. Normally our fall colors are outstanding, but this year seem to be very muted, nothing like the vibrance that we're used to.

alas I can confirm that Missouri's season is average to less than average.
Oh well the challenge requires an indoor shot.
