Don't feel bad, I had one picked then asked the hubby which he liked, he picked a diffrent one (the one I entered) so if I do bad, it's all his fault!
hehehe!!

I had so many to choose from that I got in JUST at 12:00 Couldn't make up my mind and I usually always pick the wrong one.

Just finished my macro shot with 3 hours to spare. I had all week but waited until today. Actually it usually takes most of the week to come up with an idea then I shoot it close to the deadline. This one was a
back breaker with all the bending over. Soon I will be watching all those 5's come across with no comments. : )

Or go the other way, how about dust in the Milky Way?

One of my commenters saw that I shot this with a "macro" lens and asked how I shot the Milky Way with a macro. It's all really a matter of scale, isn't it?

I got a shot that satisfies me but I bet I'll get
(A) too close/far away.
(B) colours too saturated/ or wishy washy
(C) should have been in "Obsolete"
(D) doesn't meet the Challenge

AS I said I like my shot and thats my criteria

Took my Macro entry today. This will be my fifth enteration (new word I just invented) in a row. I'm looking forward to seeing the macro entries. The macro challenges are always great fun.

I have been kindof busy lately and also a bit of blank since none of the last few challenges really appealed to me right away so I haven´t entered anything for over a month now. When I saw the macro challenge last monday I thought "finally something I can participate on without thinking too much about what to enter"

Guess what, the week flew by and I only took the shot a couple of hours ago since I haven´t had time but it´s going to be fun clicking that update button a couple of times an hour for a whole week again even though I probably won´t do very well this time since my shot isn´t all that great...

It specifically says it doesn't have to be a shot done with a macro zoom, but just a close up. You might be surprized how well you'll do.

I'm anxious to see this challenge. I hope nobody did anything similar to mine.

I don't have a macro lens either. I figure everyone with a macro lens will be taking amazing bug/flower pollen shots and I simply can't go there. So I opted for a closeup instead. I'm really pleased with the outcome - whether it will score well remains to be seen. It's certainly not macro, and I'm guessing the good scores will go to those who can pull in the true macros.

But ya know? I don't really care. I truly LIKE the shot, and that's all that really matters. If I get a couple constructive comments on how to improve for the future, then I'm getting my money's worth here!

No Macro lens here, so prob won't do that great anyway, One I really like doesn't have as much detail I guess, Oh I'll be up all night looking back and forth from one to next!

No better way to really tell how just how dirty you sensor is then to shoot a macro shot closed down to f/16.
