I have a 300d and at the price it sells for used right now....I kept it and gave it to my GF...just too insulting to have purchased a camera in dec2003 for 1800$cdn and be offered 500cdn now.

It is funny how the Canon/Nikon arguments never cease.

Can't we all just get along?

Ken Rockwell is known to be biased towards Nikon, so bear this in mind..

LOL!

It's funny that everytime Ken's name is mentioned a Canonite screams out a warning :)

For the record I find Ken's advice to be sound an accurate even if his style and approach are slightly questionable. His comparision of the D70 and 20D is a pretty fair analysis (yes, I know we can nit-pick the details, but that's the same for most reviews).

The advice always boils down to what is good for you, and for me I went into the shop to buy a Canon, played with both and decided on Nikon.

i am after a 300d or a 350d. What price were you looking at. Remember i am in Australia so i would have to convert it and get it shipped. I have just been asked to do weddings with a friend who is a photographer, so i need to get one pretty quick
PM me with a price or put it in the forums.

I was also thinking about getting rid of my 300D for the 20D but have decided to wait until the 20D's replacement comes out sometime between next November and February. I may just keep the 300D as a second body if I can't get enough to justify selling it.

I'm selling my rebel for $550 US with kit lens (sorry, don't know conversion factor and I'm too lazy).

I thought about the 20d, very very strongly, but in the end, I decided on the d70.

I'm not trying to influence your decisions by any means, just in the long-run, after strong consideration and evaluation, the d70 is the right move for me.

I don't know canadian prices, but depending on the condition between $400 and $500 US for the body only.

Anyone want to buy one?

So, on the topic, how much do you think i could get for a Canon 300D Digital Rebel body? Canadian currency please. All suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance...

Simon
