Mine peaked at 6.22, then overnight dropped to 6.17, and is now rallying to a current 6.18. Lots of low(er) votes in a 24hr span to make it drop that much this late in the week. Very interesting. Oh well, at least my overall avg vote received will get a little bump up if I can hold onto my current score.

My score is almost to 5, and is my personal best so far.... first challenge was a 4.41 second was a 4.63, and I'm sitting at 4.95 on this one... :) continual improvement is always good.

Mine was fluctuating just over or just under 5.8 all week long. I think it`s strongly anchored in 5.8 land now. Maybe it`ll creep up to 5.9 by rollover on midnight.
All I know is that I think I received a large number of 5`s for a shot that I truly thought should have have scored in the low 6`s. Mostly due to the very strong performance of many photographers for this challenge. Good work guys!

I was fairly happy with my score until I saw all the high 6 nd 7 scores posted in this thread, some tough competition in this challenge for sure. Good luck to all, and congrats to the people who are getting the elusive 7+ score! I know I can't wait till I get mine some day.

Just a bomb throw...
If you say that an image is not sharp... make sure you monitor is set correctly and / or your glasses are on...
one person made a comment about how much of a shame mine wasn't in focus....I asked a couple of people here after blowing the image up to 300% there is no sharpness problem...
oh well ... life goes on!

Well over 60% of votes that I cast were 6 and above. I expect a high scoring challenge across the board.

I think the votes/views ratio is the dead giveaway, more ppl come back to a good photo than a mediocre one.

Hey check out my bird shot. This is a pigeon that was on the roof of my garage yesterday. He let me get within 6 inches of him. I think he must be tame or something.

I had to stop commenting at 3% this time around and I will not finish voting (34%). As I was flipping thru the photo's I couldn't believe I was wasting time voting on some of them and became very dicouraged. If I get my "game" back I will try to finish but at this point it doesn't look good. With any luck those I did get to comment on will find them helpful.

Ahhhhhh... that explains why you didn't come visit me last weekend to take vulture pictures at Canyon Lake. I was sad. So were the vultures. In fact, they hardly spit up any foul smelling, partially decomposed meats the whole time. |
But, but, you wouldn't want me to pass up the chance at a Archaeopteryx, would you? Hmmm, I was just about to go ask the only vulture I know personally,(bird variety) if he wanted to go have some ultra treats, but since your guys were reticent about their leftovers, it'll wait. Vladimir is nothing if not patient.
Vlad, btw, lives at Wildcare because someone decided it would be 'fun' to raise him as a pet but sent him to Wildcare when he got too much to handle. No, Vlad doesn't think he's a human, he thinks humans are vultures and acts accordingly. Ouch. |

Ha! Thats funny. Go ahead and give everyone a one. But my entry doesn't even have a bird in it! I have figured out how to infiltrate the voting database and give myself whatever score I feel I deserve.
