I just like to see people win who don't already have a bunch of ribbons, it gives me hope. It's like discovering another great photographer in out midst. Maybe I'll change my attitude after my first dozen or so ribbons. Don't hold your breath, LOL.

Mine too :) I got some great comments, and finished 34th.. which was extremely surprising!

Where would have us direct our love Artyste? If it were up to you what would be your preference?

Pardon me for butting in here, but I would prefer it be directed toward the spirit of the challenge instead of having the challenge topic be incidental to the entry. Take 3rd place for example. He admitted he did not shoot it for the challenge. It was part of a landscape project he was working on. It just happened to have rocks in it.

No offense intended to anyone. Just venting a little.

I don't have a preference.. just stating a fact as to why I don't find it surprising. I wasn't complaining. thanks though.

Thanks a lot everybody. I did expect a 6+ finish but ribbon was quite a surprise.

Well Deserved. They are great photos.

Rocks & all have water as well. I think they are well deserved ribbons.

Congratulations to samtrundle, Tycho, and cghubbell for their ribbons in the Rock, Paper, Scissors challenge. All three are first time ribbon winners. That's refreshing, and encouraging. All three used a DSLR for their winning entries, but not a Canon among them. I'll add an Honorable Mention to gingerminja who finished a close 4th in only his second challenge using a Fuji S602.

Well done y'all! Keep up the good work.

And Congrats to the voters for choosing these fine images, nothing gimmicky or overly manipulated about any of them.
