I love denoise. What I often do on very noisy images, is to run it several times, but keep each copy. I find some areas get too flat by the time I am where I want to be with the "overall" denoise. I then mask bits out into the slightly "noisier" copy, but where I like the detail better.

I have found Denoise to be nothing short of amazing. I love it.

It seems I can do better with Photo AI. The copy I posted used the Autopilot settings.

This one's a bit better but still worse than the one I entered:

Unfortunately I wasn't aware that there was still a problem. Otherwise I'd have waited until it was fixed before I posted this.

I've uploaded a copy of my entry which seems to be displaying properly.

Now that the challenge results have been released I can show the results of the comparison tests I referred to a few days ago.

I'm so happy with the advice I got here. I used DeNoise and Sharpen on my free study and was amazed with the results.

Out of curiosity I've just tried editing the same image using Photo AI and was underwhelmed.

I'll post comparison images when voting is over.

Edit to add: I actually prefer the version with noise to the one edited in Photo AI.

My entry, edited using Topaz DeNoise and Sharpen separately:

Edited using Topaz Photo AI:

As a comparison, edited with no noise reduction or sharpening:

Edit: Due to technical problems my entry isn't currently displaying properly, so I've uploaded a copy:
