I have removed the challenge description altogether, thereby deep-sixing any ambiguity. I was going to change it to "Show us an image where everything's in focus" but then I thought well, if we do that then the nit-pickers will deduct points for the slightest bit of anything OOF on macro shots, where the BG is ALWAYS OOF, and at that point I thought "less is more" so there's no longer a description. The challenge title says it all.
Soldier on!

| IMO, the description does not "fit" the challenge. Just because my DOF is "large", does not mean everything is in focus ... shutter speed kinda plays a role too ... |

I don't see any other suggested technique(s) ... I'm just saying it should/could have been omitted entirely if you wanted it open to anything other than single-shot entries; "Deep DOF" and "N/A" would have been fine ... |

| FWIW, the description in no way implies that proper selection of aperture is the sole determinant of a successful deep DOF image. It is certainly a component of any successful deep-DOF image. |

Then I think you should have left out the reference to aperture in the description as that (strongly) implies that is the requested method of DOF control (hence the need for this thread). |

| When I scheduled this one, I intentionally left that on the table. It is legal in Standard, so it is legal for this challenge. From my perspective, getting a good focus stack is as difficult as setting a proper hyperfocal distance; it's just that a deeper DOF will be possible, if you cna get the blends right! |

IMO since it's not flagged with a Special Rule or Minimal editing it is probably technically "legal" but outside the "spirit" of the challenge. |
