Thank you, Gina. With your help I, too, can understand the word.
Certainly recommended viewing, listening and pondering.

Thanks for the lovely comments! I'm happy that "decays" has been found too ^_^

The whole project started as an experiment but I'm proud to say that The Hollow went over that becoming a real short movie with strong feelings. It's been very rewarding to compose the soundtrack too. I edited the video, set a few keypoints and then let the flow of my emotions go and I hope that the viewer - but also the listener - can get some of that magic too.

I also struggled with it, but the word is "decays".

SPOILER ALERT! DISCUSSION BELOW. YOU MIGHT PREFER TO FIRST EXPERIENCE THE MOVIE AFRESH.

Thanks, Alex. Great expression of a mood, precise and cutting, and which you expanded upon in your notes after the movie below the film. These notes were helpful in understanding the fullness of your intentions. The music also carried the weight of your feelings, and was a perfect accompaniment. Although it takes place over at least days, it feels concentrated into a shorter continuity, a melancholy throbbing, just as obsession can cage one. Visually lovely and suitably paced. My only problem is that I couldn't understand the last word in a sentence towards the latter part of the actor's ruminations. It seemed important, and I listened to it several times. I heartily agree with you about the necessity of letting go of some difficult memories.
Really enjoyed this.

In the constant search of something different, I did this experiment - filming a real short movie with a smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. To make things even better I composed the original soundtrack. I'm very, very satisfied with the result. Of course you have limits filming like that (I will make a vide backstage where I'm going to explain the problems I experienced) but knowing to have such a powerful tool in your pocket is something huge.

This is The Hollow
