Actually, it sorta is :-) "Di" = 2... Here's the definition of Dichotomy:

A separation or division into two; a distinction that results in such a division.

Sounds a lot like splitting a ribbon to me :-)

Or maybe the ties are MONOchotomies? Hrmmmmm...

That's not a dichotomy at all! Ha!
