My computer crashed recently (it was old) and I've upgraded to a new one. My old one wouldn't support (hardware insufficient) some of the new Topaz AI plugins. Now, with the new PC, I'm trying some of the newer Topaz stuff.

My question is about Topaz Studio 2.

I noticed that when I load an image file that there is some image degradation before applying anything to the image. I've been displaying the view with before / after side-by-side split and there is a noticeable difference. Not good!

Anyone else notice this? I'm still on the trial license for 30 days and will need to decide on keeping or not. Leaning towards No at the moment.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I have both Topaz Studio 1 and 2 and here is the same image I open in both and I do not see any issue with image. I use Macbook Pro 16 inch 2020 model.

Left one is Topaz Studio 1 and right one is 2.

Thanks Girish, the problem I'm seeing is with the same image loaded and viewed side by side. There's a menu selection for displaying under View, then you can show the image high/low or left/right. When you make adjustments the change will show on the image (in my case, on the right).

Problem is, before doing anything, the image on the right side of the split is degraded/different from the original displayed on the left.

I don't have Studio 1, only Studio 2.

One thing I didn't try was making a minor change, selecting Save/Accept (whatever the term is) and see how it looks back in my photo editor. I may try that tonight if I get a chance.

I created a video so show you same image just in the Topaz Studio 2 and compare before and after and applied one of the preset.

You might get https error because DPC understands HTTPs where as my domain is not on HTTPS but here is the video link, see if this helps.

Thanks. Just checked it out. What I was interested in is the section right at the beginning of the video, before any adjustments were applied. It appears that image loaded on the right showed the same as the one on the left. I'm going to need to try a couple of different photos and see if there's any reason for the result I saw the other night.

Thanks again.

sure, let me know if you want me to try out a few more things and if so then I will open a zoom call and we can get on call to troubleshoot.

just change the URL and in the URL change HTTPS to HTTP and it should work after that.
