It's a known bug -- just enter yesterday's date and note the "real" date in the photographer's info area.

Thank you - first time it happened to me

I did verify that the date range is set correctly, can't imaging what's going on here. I do see that there are three entries, so it's not a problem that is affecting all images.

And frankly, I would love to see the frequent archival challenges continue, even once/if the pandemic is under control everywhere in the world. We have 14 regularly scheduled challenges a month. Ten with a time restriction is plenty of incentive for getting out :) We have members in all kinds of situations, including some for whom, because of age or health or time, getting out is difficult in the best of times. I find that the archival challenges often motivate me to work with something I had taken but not had time for. And of course there's always the fact that no one is forced to consider an archival challenge "archival" . . . that is there's really no reason not to "shoot for" every single challenge that comes along. The only possible "downside" to archival challenges that I can see is that the competition for the top spots is much tougher . . . but that's actually an "upside" for me :)

Me too pls, alghough I have been very good and shot all new entries, but I love to go through my oldies as well.

Oh. I misunderstood. I thought the archivals were for stuff we couldnít shoot for while quarantining.

Well, I think that applies in this case anyway ... limiting people to their own footwear inside the home presents severe limitations on compositions. For example, it would make it unlikely I could get something like one of my very early entries (and rare candids) -- far preferable to any of my current footwear I assure you ... ;-)

Hahahshahaha! Carry on.

Why is the Footwear challenge archival? Do people in the pandemic not have shoes? Ha!

I totally agree (so long as the Archival challenges are not "Apple" because, seriously, who has apples sitting around in their archives to review?).
Even without all my past images available to me right now, I am still finding it fun (even interesting) to "dig through" what I do have and never used. And there are still enough other new challenges to shoot for.

So I vote to please continue with the scheduled programming. Thank you.

+ 1 to this. May I add that archival challenges would be better kept for subjects that we are likely to have difficulty in meeting within the timeframe. (Apples? Orange?)

Agreed, though I am not really sure how scientific and medical fact became debatable partisan bias. I suppose it depends on what sources you trust more than others. But be assured, more of the people in the US are trusting the advice of the medical experts and not the politicians.

This virus is not going away quickly. It's good that we are now getting vaccinated (In fact, I had my second dose a couple of hours ago), but there have evolved variants of the virus now, and the experts do not yet know if the current selections of vaccines will protect us against them.

The awful thing is that many of the people complaining the loudest and resisting the mask wearing, social distancing, etc. are the ones primarily responsible for this thing going on so long. If we had ALL done what we needed to do a year ago, we could have kept this thing under control without those "freedom robbing" mandates. This is a longtime problem in the USA. Many feel their "freedoms" are more important than taking responsibility for the risk posed to others.

So, they have more stuff to shoot! Yay!

VERY US centric comment - the 'Rona is going nowhere. Here in UK we are moving in the right direction due to the vaccination programme and the fact we have been in strict lockdown since the New Year. Finally next week we can meet people outdoors or in gardens, but we are still several weeks away from having gyms, hairdressers, non-essential retail etc opening up. The rest of Europe is now in the grip of a horrible third wave and heading back into lockdown. DPC covers more than the US

Unfortunately, it's not really a US-centric thing, it's a partisan thing.

Even more unfortunately, things in the US are much an "us against them" right now. Which is really quite sad, because we should have all been in this together. It's not going away here. The numbers, in many places are going in the right direction, but with the number of people who are loosening restrictions, the number of people who won't get vaccinated, we could end up having another wave that brings in the varients and makes everything we've done so far moot. :(

Hey Sarah, I haven't checked the data recently. How is the UK doing with the "more first shots, second shots can come much later than said" decision? I find it fascinating watching the science. We've pretty much stuck with the "second a specific number of weeks from first without much leeway". I assume we won't know for quite awhile, but I am curious how it will all end up as far as what was the best scenario.

In lockdown here in NL since mid December, expected to last to some degree until July, third wave really building at the moment, vaccination ongoing but only has effect currently on over-70 population.
